A turtle lived in a pond. Every day two storks used to come to that pond. A deep friendship developed between them. As the dry season came, the pond dried up. The turtle wanted to go into a big pond with lots of water. After thinking like that, The turtle told the storks to go somewhere else from here. “Friend! You cannot fly. How can we take you to a distant pond,” said the storks. “Friends! Don’t say that, think of some trick yourselves and lead me to a big pond of water,” pleaded the tortoise. The three thought a lot together. The tortoise got an idea. “Friends! Come get a stick. Both of you hold the sticks at one end with your noses. I will with my mouth. “I will hold the middle of the stick. You can fly in the sky and take me with you,” said the tortoise.
“It’s too dangerous my friend! “If you open your mouth to speak in the middle, you will be in danger,” said the storks. “I promise you that I will not open my mouth anywhere” said the tortoise. The turtle gripped the middle of the stick with its mouth. The storks took hold of both sides of the sticks with their beaks and soared in the sky. The storks flew low to avoid any danger to the turtle. People in a village laughed strangely at this scene. Seeing this scene, the turtle got angry. The turtle opened its mouth to say, “These people have no sense”, and fell on the ground before he could finish his speech. The turtle is in danger. One of the villagers took the turtle.
