A crow, a fox and a tiger were very friendly in a forest. Together these three were the servants of the lion king of the forest. All together eat the prey of the lion. There was a camel in a village near the forest. It became emaciated when its owner did not feed it properly. Angry with its owner, it went into the forest. There they grazed good pasture for ten days. At this moment, the camel was spotted by crows, jackals and tigers. They wanted to get this meaty camel somehow. They introduced each other pretending to be friends. They became good friends. “Lion is the king of our forest. We will take you to them and introduce you,” they took the camel to the lion. Even the lion accepted the friendship of the camel. The lion assured the camel, “Do not be afraid, my friend! I will do nothing to you.”
Crows, foxes and tigers would not cower at the sight of a fleshy camel. Saying that its meat is very tasty, they waited for the opportunity. Their strategy is to kill and eat the camel when they get the chance. As the camel does not have the same intelligence as the crow, fox and tiger, it could not discover their conspiracy. The camel became friendly with them. “One day, an elephant encountered a lion who was hunting for food. There was a small battle between the two. The elephant stabbed the lion with its tusks, and the lion was injured. There was nothing to do, and the lion went to rest in his den. A week passed, and the lion was unable to hunt. The lion was hungry because of the lack of food. The lion did not know what to do with his followers. She called him and told him to cut the food. “I am unable to hunt animals due to illness. If I hunted, you would eat a little and the rest of the meat. So find yourself an animal and say it. After I hunt, I will eat and give you the rest,” said the lion humbly.
The followers of the lion went in one direction in search of animals. They did not see any animal anywhere. They came back and told the lion about this. Meanwhile, the crow and the fox talked secretly. “My friend crow! Why should we look for other animals. This camel is well fatted. If it is hunted by our lion, there will be no shortage of food for many days,” said the fox. Both of them went to the lion together and told the plan to hunt the camel. Hearing these words, the lion became extremely angry. “I promised not to harm the camel. It is not a good thing to be friendly and take life,” said the lion. “If you attack and hunt it, it will be a sin, but if the camel becomes your food, you can hunt it, King of Beasts!” That is a fox. “Okay, you like, arrange something,” said the lion.
The crow, fox and tiger went to the camel and said, “Our king is hungry. We have to sacrifice our lives so that they don’t starve. Let us all go to the lion, come on.” “King lion! We roamed the forest for your food. Not a single animal was found anywhere. “Eat me if you have to,” said the crow humbly. The scriptures proclaim that if our Lord eats your flesh, all sins will be washed away. Moreover, you will not even come under the teeth of the King Lion. I will become food and show my lord’s devotion” said the fox. Immediately the tiger who became a partner in the conspiracy said “Don’t forget that you are also a small animal. You are the epitome of deception. Moreover, you are also a clawed animal, therefore you are a beast. Therefore you should not be eaten by the king of beasts. “I will sacrifice my life,” said the tiger.
The stupid camel thought that these people were ready to sacrifice themselves as lion’s food. She could not understand that everyone conspired and wanted to feed the camel to the lion. The camel said “Tiger King! You have nails too. You are also a beast. It is not proper for our animal king to eat you who hunted many animals. So King Lion! These three will not serve you as food. I am ready to feed you. So eat me and save your lives,” said the camel. When the camel said that, the lion, the tiger and the jackal all satiated their hunger.
MORAL : When such problems arise, one should think wisely and try to escape. If we think innocently and make sacrifices, we will get into problems and have to save our lives.
