A wild lion lives in a forest. The lion is so strong that it hunts and eats all other animals. Due to this, the animals of the forest are living in fear of what danger will come at any moment and from where. One day all the animals in the forest gathered together. “Friends! If the lion eats like the animals it hunts and eats like this, none of us will survive. Therefore, if one of us goes to the lion’s food every day, there will be no unexpected fear of life” and brought this matter to the attention of the lion.

The lion agreed to this deal, enjoying that the food would come to him without hunting. “If one of you does not come to me for even one day, I will punish you all,” roared the lion. According to the word given to the lion, from that day onwards, the wild animals are going to be eaten one day at a time. One day it was the rabbit’s turn. How to escape from this danger as the rabbit is very smart? Planned that. The hare went to the lion much later than the said time. The lion got hungry and got angry with the wild animals. The rabbit approached the lion step by step. “Are you here so late?” roared the lion. The rabbit pretended to be scared and said “No King Lion! I left with my friends in time to meet you. On the way I met another lion. He threatened to hunt those who disobeyed him and ate my friends. Here comes King Lion!” Rabbit said pretending to be scared.

The lion’s ego is hurt. “Show me where that lion is, and I will eat you after it is finished. If I eat you first, there will be no one to show me its tracks?” That is a lion. The lion stood on the bank of the well and peered into it. Its shadow was seen in the water of the well. The lion roared, disillusioned to see its reflection do the same. The lion, who could not swim, thought his reflection in the water to be an enemy and jumped into the well with a ferocious roar. The lion could not come out of the well. Later the lion realized his mistake. The rabbit was very happy and told this to his friends. All the animals appreciated the rabbit very much. From that day all the animals roamed freely in the forest without fear of life.

Stork and Crab Humorous Stories in English with Moral

Stork and Crab Humorous Stories in English with Moral

A pond is home to many types of aquatic life along with many fishes. There is also a crab in it. A sly stork came from somewhere and saw the fish. They made a trick that they should eat these fish anyway. Every day the stork came to the pond and pretended to do penance by standing on one leg. The fish were afraid and did not go near the stork. Every few days, a fish thief came to a stork doing penance. Even if the fish are within arm’s reach, the stork will not harm them. The thief used to stand on one leg without moving while doing penance. A Crab staying in the same pond came to the Stork. “Stork! You have so many fish within arm’s reach, don’t you? Why aren’t you eating them?” Crab asked. “I have given up meat, knowing that killing life is a sin and practicing the doctrine of non-violence,” said the lying stork.

Along with the fish in that pond, other aquatic animals also believed in the words of the stork and every day fearlessly came very close to the stork and swam in the water. A few days passed in this way, and one day the stork sat crying. Seeing that scene, the fish said, “Why are you crying?” They asked. “None of you have hurt me, but I am worried about what will happen to you,” said the stork. “Why are you crying about us?” asked the fish. “Drying season is coming, after the water in this pond has receded a lot, fishermen will come and catch you. Then your life will be in danger. With my wings I can fly wherever I want,” the stork cried and shed tears. “You have to save us. So think of a trick for us,” pleaded the fish.

“I have a trick, every day I will take some of you out of my mouth and release them into the big lake beyond the hill, which will never dry up. You can live comfortably for the rest of your life, without any fear of life,” lied the stork. The fish believed the tricks told by the stork and agreed. So every day it bit off some fish, flew away and went to the big rock on the hill instead of towards the lake and ate the fish there. The next day some more fish were taken. The fish live in the illusion that the stork will save their friends by leaving them in the lake. In a few days, all the fish in the pond were gone. Crab was the only one left, “Stork! Drop all my friendly fishes in the lake, likewise carry me and drop me in the lake,” prayed the crab. That’s enough, hold me tight around my neck. Hold on to my neck until I let go. I will easily leave you in the lake beyond the hill,” said the stork.

The Crab did as the Stork said, and the Stork flew in the sky. Crab noticed that instead of going towards the big lake, it was going towards the big rock on the hill. Fish bones and scales were seen there. Crab realizes that the stork is about to endanger his life. Without further delay, she bit the stork’s neck hard with her sharp hands. Just like the vulture that ate a hundred trees lost to a single wind, the stork that ate all the fish in the pond was finally defeated by the Crab. Crab, who defeated the fraud with fraud, slowly entered the lake and saved his life.
