Carpenter and Lion Long Moral Stories

There was a carpenter in a village. He used to go to the forest every day to cut firewood and sell it in the village for a living. One day the carpenter did not have enough firewood and decided to go to the forest. That day he met a lion. The carpenter trembled at that. The carpenter took two steps forward in fear and placed the food he had in front of the lion, and the lion devoured it. From that day they both became good friends. Since then, the carpenter used to bring good and tasty food to the lion every day. From time to time he would also bring good food and feed them. This happened for some time and the lion stopped hunting. He started staying in his cave. Crow and fox were friends of lion. After the lion eats the hunted animal and leaves, the carcass is eaten by the crow and the fox. Why does the lion not come to hunt? The crow and the fox were suspicious. One day they came to the lion’s den to find out.

“Lion! You are not coming to hunt, may I know the reason?” The crow and the fox asked. “I found a good friend. Every day he cooks good food for me. “Today I will show you the carpenter” said the lion. Meanwhile, the carpenter appeared at a distance. “He is my friend,” said the lion. Seeing the crow and the fox along with the lion, the carpenter climbed the tree.

“Friend! Why did you climb the tree? These two are my friends, I will introduce them. Come down the tree quickly and make me happy with the taste of your food,” asked the lion. “Lion! After making friends with you, despite being a wild animal, I know that you pose no danger to me. But the crow, the cunning fox, can do me any harm. You have lowered your status by making friends with these wretched people. I have no faith in such friends. They can harm me at any moment. That’s why I was scared and climbed the tree,” said the carpenter. After the lion left with his friends, the carpenter got down from the tree and went to the village.

MORAL : We make friends with bad people, sometimes even good friends are alienated.

Sea and Bird Long Moral stories

Once upon a time there was a tree on the seashore. A couple of birds lived on it. They live freely in a pleasant cool climate. As the pair lived together, the female bird became pregnant. “You are pregnant, tell me if you want anything, I will fulfill it. I will bring you whatever you want,” said the male bird. “I have no wishes. But let’s leave here as soon as possible,” said the female bird sadly. “Why do we have to change our residence from here?” asked the male bird with concern. “On the new and full moon days, the sea waves are rising. Tomorrow and tomorrow I will lay eggs. I am afraid that the eggs in the nest will be washed away by the waves.” said the female bird. The male bird burst out laughing at the bird’s fear.

“There is no danger to your eggs. The sea is afraid of God. God is the king of our bird species. As long as we have his eggs, we need not fear this sea,” said the male bird. “He is always like this. He tells them not to be afraid of their names. How can you trust others?” said the female bird. The female bird’s idea is to get away before the danger comes. The female bird thinks that sitting around waiting for someone to come and do something is not a good idea. A few days after this, the female bird laid eggs. The male bird, who did not listen to his wife’s words, suppressed the cry of the male bird and the sea overflowed with big waves and abducted the eggs of the female bird.

The birds, who were saddened by what had happened, started collecting all the water in the sea. The idea of birds is to fetch the sea water to get their nests. Seeing this, God felt sorry and called his friend Ocean and gave the eggs he had taken to the pair of birds.

MORAL : One has to show enough courage and intelligence to defeat a strong enemy.
